Materials

After you are sure about selected sock style, now we have to choose its material. One pair of sock, knitted by more than one kind of yarn. It can't be 100% cotton, or 100% polyester, and any kind of 100% composition because beside main body yarn, it needs elastane or spandex for its stretch. If you want some pattern on main body, you should add nylon composition on it. Some sock styles also apply embroidery on their logo or pattern, then it needs rayon or polyester yarn. Every kind of yarn has characteristic such as below :
a. Cotton. Mostly used for main body of socks. It's high recommend yarn for moisture absorber and soft handfeel.

c. Nylon. Durable but less moisture absorbing. Mostly used for pattern part cause it's reflecting light and make the pattern has brighter color than main body base color. If you want to add logo, star, animal, fruits, or abstract pattern on your sock design, it's better to knit with nylon. It will not pulled easily on pattern than if we apply with other kind of yarn. Another case, it's easily burnt on high temperature. Therefore any sublimation sock style will avoid nylon yarn to appear on upside of body cause needs high temperature to transfer your complex detail on paper to apply and locked on your sock body.
d. Elastane. It's the main factor to keep your sock stretchable.
